'SERIOUS COMPETITION' FOR TICKETS TO NEXT GIG, SAY BAND

nately warned today that their competition to win a pair of tickets to their next gig at the Water Rats on Friday 5th August was 'not easy'.

The competition, in which you have to guess the film from the scene on the right, has been criticised by some for pandering to fans of noir fifties French heist movies featuring 32-minute wordless break-ins.

Competition winner Bradley Quirk defied the odds to claim first prize in nately's film-related giveaway. When told he had won two tickets to see the band perform this Friday simply by naming the film above, he said: "It feels great to be a winner for once".

The answer was of course 'Rififi', Jules Dassin's 1955 masterpiece. And thanks to everyone who wrote in asking us to make the competitions harder in future. We'll do our best.

One nervous entrant, who found the answer in 0.14 seconds on Google, can't wait for the prize draw at 1pm on Wednesday 3rd August: "I'll probably have a few friends over so we can celebrate if I win", he said. "If not, I guess we'll just download some fliers and pay a fiver on the door."
